3/4 Year Old Afternoon Class (Tue/Wed/Thu 1:00-4:00pm)
This class is designed to accommodate the needs of both 3 & 4 year-old children.
This class is unique, as it is designed to encourage a great learning environment where children can learn from their peers of various ages and offer great leadership opportunities for the children. As with our other classes, children are encouraged to be participants and co-constructors in their own learning and development. The special aspect of this class is that the afternoon will offer more outdoor learning opportunities due to warmer weather in the afternoons. Also, with the class being 3 continuous day in a row, the children and educators will be able to develop a curriculum that can be built upon each day which provides opportunities for deepening their connections to class projects and their learning environment. They will learn about their world, how to work through conflict, failure, and develop critical thinking skills. There will be a strong focus on nature, being outside and connecting children to the land.
There are 12 spaces in this class. Children who turn three years of
age, on or before September 1st of the corresponding school year are eligible for enrollment. All eligible children must be fully toilet trained prior to the start of school.
